Years ago, my wife and I lead a small group through our church. We were encouraging members of the group to take educational opportunities offered at church, but we realized we hadn’t taken every opportunity ourselves. There was one more course available: Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. With only the motive to lead by example, we enrolled into the 13 week course (now it is 9 weeks). During the course, my entire philosophy about money and building wealth changed. As man of the house (that’s not to say I wear the pants!) I had adopted the thinking that to become financially secure you needed to hit a grand slam, i.e. Facebook or some other overnight success amassing mega millions. It was a tremendous relief of pressure learning the millionaire next door doesn’t need to hit grand slams – he or she just needs to make calculated decisions taught in the course for singles and doubles that amass to fortunes.
We went on to facilitate FPU at our church as I wanted the teachings ingrained into my psyche. Years later, I can promise you the principles work and they work fabulously. That’s not to say it’s easy, but it is a lot easier than being broke! I’ve had people tell me they already know most of what Dave Ramsey teaches. The problem is they may listen but not apply. It’s the application of wisdom that makes wisdom… wisdom. The incalculable benefit is the God factor: when you handle money God’s way, He partners with you in your finances and even challenges, “test Me in this”.
So the class is about $109 total, but let’s say you don’t have the resources currently. If you are fully committed to applying the principles learned I will scholarship half or all of the tuition by just contacting me. The only stipulation is that you would do the same for someone else after you have applied the principles and are able… go ahead and test Him in this.

Is the price per person?
Lisa – It’s per couple, or if single per person. Sorry for the delay in responding. 🙂
Thank you,
Dallas
So true and so good!
We want to take this class so bad!!! Being a full time stay at home mom I’ve learned the art of couponing and I’m good at it but I know we can save in a lot more areas than what we do now. I’m glad you wrote about this, I needed to hear from someone whose went through it..
We still have not taken this class 🙁
You would not regret it!
